The Varna is the form of composition consisting of short metric pieces which encapsulate the main features and colors of the Raga. We can say, the grammar of Carnatic music is learned through the Varnas.
You should have either completed our Carnatic Classical Intermediate course Level 02 or should have thorough understanding of varisas, alankarams and varnam which will be assessed through online auditions.

Lessons:
Session 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: Aditala varna – Raga Mohana
Session 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12: Aditala varna – Raga Vasantha
Rigorous practice of Varna in two or three temps helps in breath control, mastery over Swara and Laya. Let us get to the starting point of manodharma sangeetham.
